work and future

Now I hope that I will find work.  i would like to learn a lot and get working experience.

I have learned the basics of customer service and sales.

I hope that I will be a good seller one day. 

I learn something new every day and I can always learn something.

      

              I would also liket to study more and to become a professional. I have a dream and I have to go towards it. I want to find my dream job and be happy!

School vs. Reality?

We got a lot of information on the on the job learning and skills
demonstrations at school before training and everyone was looking forward their on the job learning. Before it, we learned customer service and sales at the RB college.

    

   

 In Päivänmari I learned to work in the fitting room, It was a nsurprising challenge to me, because every customer is so different. I had to get to know the material and washing instructions of clothes, too.  Often the customer felt uncertain about something and I had to engourage her. I think the sellers' task is really important, so that teh customer gets
convinced about the product.

My tasks included arranging three customer nights, too. I invited and
collected participants for two weeks and we had an advertisement in the local newspaper, too. 

We organised fashion show on new arrivals, such as  Ritva Fallas jackets and Marimekkos winter dresses. During the customer nights the customers were looking
at and buying products..

Welcome to my Working Place!

Hi, I did my on the job learning in Raahe in Päivänmari. Päivänmari is a specialist shop selling women's clothes in the center of Raahe. Päivänmari sells Finnish design, for example Marimekko, Aarikka, Ritva Falla and Nanso. I am interested in interior design so I applied for this job.

My on the job learning lasted 7 weeks and 35 days. I worked 6,5 hours a day. Sometimes I had longer or shorter working days depending on my tasks.

 I went to work by bike. I started my working day at ten o'clock because the store opens then at 10 am.

The first working day, i had to clean up lockers. We have a lot of towels and i arranged them. At my first day I had high expectations. I felt excited but nervous. My on the job learning included many different marketing responsibilities: visual marketing for example display windows, coordinating, customers nights, advertisements, customer service.
